SquishMat

Affiliate Disclosure

Effective July 25, 2026

SquishMat is free to use, and running it costs money. This page explains how we pay for it — plainly, because that's how we'd want it explained to us.

Some links may earn us a commission

Some of the links from SquishMat to mattress retailers are or may become affiliate links. If you click one and buy a mattress, the retailer may pay us a commission. This costs you nothing — you pay the same price either way.

In line with the FTC's endorsement guides (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose this on pages that contain affiliate links, and on this page for the site as a whole.

Commissions never influence recommendations

Our recommendations are generated by a scoring algorithm that compares your quiz answers against each mattress's construction — foam densities, coil gauges, layer thicknesses, and materials that we curate from teardowns and manufacturer specifications. The algorithm has no input for what a retailer pays us. A mattress from a brand with no affiliate program competes on exactly the same terms as one from a brand that has one, and your results would be identical if every affiliate relationship disappeared tomorrow.

We also don't accept sponsored placements, paid reviews, or fees to list a mattress. No brand can pay to appear on SquishMat or to rank higher.

Prices

The prices we show are collected from retailers' own listings, checked daily. They can still lag a sale or vary by promotion, so always confirm the price on the retailer's site — the retailer's checkout price is the one that counts.
